Out to Pasture. December 2020.

Completed December, 2019. Northern New Mexico.

This painting was inspired by a photo taken of my friend Bonnie and I as our summer working as Horse Wranglers in New Mexico came to a close. Our group had spent days taking shoes off of horses and preparing to let the herd loose for the colder months. At the end of the last horse drive it was time to take the shoes off our own horses that we had been riding hundreds of miles with all summer. We spent a few quiet minutes with them, sitting on their backs and just letting them graze, then let them run off to join the rest of the herd.

Original painting is oil on canvas. Original is 20 inches x 20 inches.

Fine art giclee reproduction. The reproduction image intentionally captures the original raised texture of the canvas, but is actually printed on velvety smooth matte paper. The effect is a more original-looking print. Features only archival inks on 100% cotton rag archival Moab white paper.

'Out To Pasture' Print

  • Although some prints look great even without a frame, if you wish to make sure that your print stays in the best condition for as long as possible, framing is recommended.

The print should be kept at room temperature, and out of direct sunlight.

To store your print for an extended period of time, for example in a drawer, wrapping the print in acid-free paper will prevent yellowing.
