"Le Nuage" or, "The Cloud" is the largest painting of the 'changing Light' collection, and was the most challenging and time-consuming of all 6 pieces.

It is no secret that I love painting clouds, however, this year, we had a major drought in our area and I missed these huge, towering storms.
 
I took the reference photo for this piece back in March, a broken promise of the rain that would never come to be. I felt like I wanted to paint this cloud into existence to mark what was a challenging year on so many fronts. 
​
I also wanted to dedicate this to my husband, mon homme, for encouraging me to create this year when creativity seemed out of reach.

24 x 30 inches, with a painted 1.5inch gallery wrap edge. Wired and ready to hang.
